We have read about top songs of last year, Top movies of last year but what about technologies we have witnessed in 2017. In my opinion every year we are becoming more and more smart technologically. In case you forgot about some amazing techs of last year here they are:

1) IOT and Smart Home Tech

The Internet of things (IoT) is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and connectivity which enables these objects to connect and exchange data. Companies like Google, Amazon presented us with Google home and Alexa like smart gadgets. Those technologies helped our houses to became smart.

2) AR and VR

We have seen major steps forward to augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). Pokemon Go, an AR game, exploded with 100 million downloads. That was just the starting of virtual era.

3) Machine Learning

Machine learning has taken some massive strides forward in the past few years, even emerging to assist and enhance Google’s core search engine algorithm. Now a days AI robots can beat professional gamers on there own land, just take the example of international DOTA championship.

4) Automation

Automation has already taken over many of the white collar jobs but its just the beginning. In last year automation was on fire but still there are so many areas where automation has yet to reach.

5) Physical-Digital integration

Mobile devices have been slowly adding technology into our daily lives. It’s rare to see anyone without a smartphone at any given time, giving us access to practically infinite information in the real-world. We already have things like site-to-store purchasing, enabling online customers to buy and pick up products in a physical retail location. Online brands like Amazon have started physical products, like Dash Buttons, and physical brands like Walmart will start having more digital features, like store maps and product trials.
