My Internship Story

As a Engineering student I think Internship are really important for every student. Internship is one of the way where students can get idea about future job before entering into actually industry. It also help's students to decide about in which field they are really interested in? To know about my interest I decided to go for an internship in my final year for 15 days in automotive industry named Endurance Technologies Aurangabad. I was assigned at GDC department for front Fork Suspension Plant. To tell you about my story lets start from interview which was held at16th of December 2017 at got joining at 18th Dec.

At my first day I was not aware about bus stop so my father dropped me at the company. Then I got know that I have to ask HR about bus stop and timing , I thought I will be guided by security for the same. So I start learning something new from my first day in company. As I told you that I was assigned in GDC shop that is Gravity Die Casting I come to about casting process in detailed Senior Engineer Avinash sir was guiding me for GDC. In my first day I started thinking how cool it will be for me to use my engineering knowledge while working in company like this.

As days started passing I got more and more confident and started asking question all the workers and operators about what they do , what's there schedule, some of them was very friendly but most of the workers thought I am someone from audit guys they were kind of fearing because of batch which I have to wore to get access to every part of company(only the fore space). One of the worker was not wearing gloves during powder coating for bottom case of suspension so asked him about his safety initially he got scared he asked me I from which department, but when I told him that I am just a intern he told me that he was doing the same from about 12 years and nothing ever happened to him.

In my internship I learned about casting, powder coating, plating and assembly of Front Fork Suspension. During my internship suspension for Suzuki Intruder bike was on development stage now when I read about this bike I feel a kind of satisfaction about the same. During my internship I made a friend Chetan Ahire from Sanjivani Institute Kopergoan we worked together on quality for fork pipe. In this way I got learn about what actual Engineers do and where I want to go in my future. So how was your experience in your internship ?
